On Monday evening Brandon Overton followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the 44th annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a stout field of 62 cars, Overton followed up the 11th fastest lap in his time trial group with a 3rd place finish in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Brandon slipped back to a 28th place outing.
The following night, Brandon secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 13th, Overton gained 11 positions in the 30-lapper to place 2nd behind Brandon Sheppard with Tim McCreadie, Tim Dohm, and Jonathan Davenport trailing them to the checkers. For the third round of the Wrisco Winternationals on Wednesday, Overton came in 12th fastest in his qualifying group before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Earning the fifth-starting position for the A-Main, Brandon improved three spots to register a runner-up finish behind Tim McCreadie with Brandon Sheppard, Tyler Erb, and Brian Shirley rounding out the Top-5.
On Thursday afternoon, Brandon recorded the fastest lap in his time trial group before streaking to a heat race victory. Rolling off on the pole, Overton dropped six spots in the 40-lap affair to place 7th.
