Overton fifth in World of Outlaws prelim feature at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park

With the World of Outlaws close to home, Brandon Overton checked into Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Friday night for preliminary night of the Ultimate Showdown.

With 40 Late Models checked in, Overton started the 25-lap semi-feature from 11th and made up six positions to land inside the Top-5 in fifth.

Unfortunately, Saturday's $35,000-to-win main event was rained out.
