Fourth-place finish in delayed Independence Shootout at Senoia
Evans, Georgia’s Brandon Overton made the short trip to Senoia (GA) Raceway over the weekend to compete in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series-sanctioned Independence Shootout.
Against 42 Late Models, Overton edged his way into the main event with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race.
After Mother Nature pushed Saturday’s $15,000-to-win main event to Sunday afternoon, Brandon marched through the field 10 spots in the 50-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. He chased Shane Clanton, Ashton Winger, and Joseph Joiner to the checkers with Austin Horton coming in fifth.
Overton extended his lead atop the latest Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series point standings to 84 markers.
